Experienced Millwright (Red Seal) – Cape Town

About the role

Our client, a world‑leading fencing system and access control manufacturer, is seeking a qualified Millwright (Red Seal) to join their plant in Paarl, Western Cape. The successful candidate will ensure maximum equipment uptime by diagnosing and repairing electrical, instrument and mechanical faults.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify electrical, instrument and mechanical faults using engineering best practices.
• Replace defective machine parts, adjust clearances and align moving components.
• Repair, lubricate, and align machines using hoists, jacks and hand tools.
• Assemble and install equipment with hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on general upkeep and non‑trade tasks.
• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels and report faults promptly.

Required profile

• Trade Test Certificate: Millwright (Red Seal).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Experience with Clifford Machinery is an advantage.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Own transport and flexibility to meet work demands.
