Experienced Clinical Nurse (R/N)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse (R/N) to join our Tokai Medicross facility in Cape Town. The role involves delivering holistic, person‑centred nursing care to patients, families and the community while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients in accordance with nursing theories and SOPs.
• Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary health team and act as a patient advocate.
• Document nursing interventions and ensure clear communication between nursing staff, management and families.
• Provide emergency treatment and resuscitation (RESUS) when required across all wards.
• Serve as a clinical resource, supporting staff in delivering high‑quality care and troubleshooting patient‑care issues.

Required profile

• Registered professional nurse (R/N) with proven experience in clinical nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families and health professionals.
• Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and dignified care.

Required skills

• RESUS certification and competence in emergency treatment.
