Executive Manager – Support Functions

About the role

The Executive Manager – Support Functions provides strategic leadership, governance and oversight of engineering support functions within Product Management and Development. The role is responsible for establishing, implementing and continuously improving systems that support configuration management, product lifecycle management, product safety, FMEA, RTI, SDS and software control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Support Functions Department and align it with product management strategy.
• Develop, implement and maintain Configuration Management policies, procedures and standards.
• Integrate Configuration Management within the Teamcenter PLM system.
• Govern Engineering Change Boards (ECB) and Material Review Boards (MRB).
• Implement and improve the Product Safety Management System to meet safety standards and legislation.
• Establish a structured Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodology across projects.
• Manage the Request for Technical Information (RTI) process in compliance with the Arms Control Act.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) regulatory obligations.
• Control and revise internally developed engineering software.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for Configuration Management, PLM, RTI, Product Safety and FMEA.
• Monitor process compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and other functions.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leadership experience in engineering support functions.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management and product lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with product safety standards and legislative requirements.
• Experience overseeing Engineering Change Boards and Material Review Boards.
