EWP Telephone Clinician – 2‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

There are two vacancies for EWP Telephone Clinicians within Life Health Solutions Employee Wellness. The role is a two‑month fixed‑term contract, reporting to the EWP Team Leader, providing quality emotional telephone counselling and managing referrals to the EWP Practitioner network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality emotional telephone counselling and professional consultation services.
• Follow up on face‑to‑face referrals to the EWP Practitioner network and ensure resolution within service level benchmarks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of client Service Level Agreements, Life Health Solutions policies and procedures.
• Record case data accurately, manage risks and ensure confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Activate support for stakeholders requesting legal, financial, health or trauma‑related interventions and arrange group interventions as needed.

Required profile

• Clinical or counselling qualification (Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Registered Counsellor) with annual professional registration (HPCSA or SACSSP).
• 2–3 years experience in an employee wellness clinical setting.
• Proficiency in English; Afrikaans proficiency is advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of ethics and codes of practice in psychology, social work or counselling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce consolidated reports.
