Event Operations Manager – Green Point, Cape Town

About the role

Our client, a leading beverage operations provider for South Africa’s biggest sporting, entertainment and corporate events, is seeking a hands‑on Event Operations Manager. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering flawless event operations from set‑up through breakdown.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee event operations from setup to breakdown.
• Lead, schedule and supervise event staff and operational teams.
• Manage beverage stock planning, movement and reconciliations.
• Coordinate logistics, equipment and supplier activities.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, liquor licensing and venue regulations.
• Monitor event performance, resolve operational challenges and maintain high service standards.
• Prepare post‑event reports and support continuous operational improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in operational management, preferably in events.
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Event or Project Management.
• Experience managing medium to large‑scale events, especially stadium, sporting or hospitality venues.
• Proven ability to supervise operational teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence, own transport and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
