Estate Operations Director

About the role

We are seeking an Estate Operations Director to take full ownership of an international residential portfolio on behalf of a Forbes Council CEO. This remote, global position blends hands‑on property oversight with senior leadership, ensuring seamless service delivery across multiple high‑net‑worth homes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop household teams—including drivers, chefs, housemaids, maintenance crews, and gardeners—overseeing scheduling, performance, and all employment decisions.
• Maintain a zero‑surprise portfolio by implementing robust verification, reporting, and escalation systems that prevent asset failures or service lapses.
• Standardise service delivery through a portable House Manual and SOPs, enabling new properties to onboard without disruption.
• Renegotiate vendor contracts, enforce cost‑discipline targets, and manage budgets with single‑point accountability.
• Provide continuous operational truth across a remote, multi‑country portfolio with minimal travel.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in private residential management, luxury hospitality, or a comparable high‑service environment.
• Proven track record of identifying and solving operational problems proactively.
• Experience leading teams of ten or more and making direct people‑operations decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties across different countries.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
