EPC Logistics Engineer – Construction & Procurement

About the role

The Logistics Engineer will plan, coordinate and optimise the movement of materials, equipment and personnel for EPC projects, ensuring cost‑effective and compliant logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics plans and strategies for construction projects.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the movement of materials, equipment and personnel.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, freight forwarders and service providers.
• Prepare logistics budgets, monitor costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure timely procurement, customs clearance and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimise stock management.
• Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
• Identify logistics risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare logistics performance reports and KPIs.
• Support project teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or transport management, preferably in EPC, infrastructure or construction.
• Knowledge of international freight, customs regulations and import/export processes.
• Experience in procurement coordination and inventory management.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP or logistics management systems.
