Environmental Drilling Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Environmental Drilling Technician to support field operations on contaminated‑site investigation and remediation projects across several Brazilian states. The role involves hands‑on work in wells, soil sampling, and ensuring the quality and safety of remediation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain monitoring wells, including water‑level checks and photographic documentation.
• Perform tests on sidewalk chambers to verify watertightness.
• Conduct drilling operations with internal or third‑party teams, measure volatile compounds and collect soil samples.
• Install monitoring and pumping wells, as well as soil‑vapor wells, and carry out seal tests.
• Segregate waste and manage its environmentally‑appropriate disposal according to internal procedures.
• Execute masonry work, line openings, and small‑diameter drilling for soil‑gas evaluation.
• Inspect site conditions (sumps, spills, cracks, etc.) and record findings with photos and identification plates.
• Investigate recent oil or fuel leaks and perform remedial product mixing and injection.
• Prepare site sketches, characterize areas, and document tactile/visual soil descriptions.
• Support high‑resolution sampling procedures and drive rods for remedial product application.

Required profile

• Completed high school education.
• Technical training in environmental studies preferred.
• Experience with low‑flow sampling and field drilling.
• Proficient use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
