Enterprise Architect

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Enterprise Architect will develop and embed Harambee’s Enterprise Architecture practice, providing strategic direction across business, data, applications, technology, security and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and mature the Enterprise Architecture capability, including governance, standards, principles and frameworks.
• Develop enterprise roadmaps and future‑state architectures that align technology investments with organisational strategy.
• Translate strategic objectives into business capabilities, operating models, technology solutions and implementation plans.
• Provide oversight on major technology initiatives to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and sustainable.
• Maintain an enterprise‑wide view of applications, platforms, integrations and data assets, identifying opportunities to simplify and modernise.
• Partner with business, technology, data and operational leaders to close capability gaps and improve efficiency.
• Champion data architecture and governance to support analytics, reporting, AI, privacy and compliance.
• Embed security‑by‑design, privacy‑by‑design and responsible AI practices into architecture and solution design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, Business Information Management or related field.
• TOGAF Certified Practitioner (or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Business Architecture or technology leadership.
• Proven experience developing enterprise roadmaps, capability maps, operating models and target‑state architectures.
• Experience leading architecture governance processes and aligning business, technology, data and security domains.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication and influencing skills.
