Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary – Theatre

About the role

Mediclinic Paarl is seeking two Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries to work in the theatre department. The role involves delivering safe, basic nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice and contributing to a therapeutic environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in creating a therapeutic environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate in Nursing (or equivalent) – essential education.
• 1 year post‑qualification experience – desired.

Required skills

• Infection prevention and control.
• Basic Life Support.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of nursing regulations and legislation.
• Scientific nursing process.
• Risk identification.
