About the role
We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Trauma unit at Netcare Group in Umhlanga. The role involves delivering direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring high‑quality patient outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and ensure proper stock and equipment management.
- Provide direct patient care within the Enrolled Nurse scope, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) and contribute to their training.
- Uphold a safe, clean therapeutic environment, adhering to infection control, waste management and occupational safety standards.
- Participate in handovers, quality‑improvement programmes and report any risks or equipment issues to senior staff.
Required profile
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Compliance with SANC code of conduct and relevant health legislation.
- Relevant experience in nursing, preferably within a trauma or acute care setting.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintain professional conduct.
