About the role
Mediclinic Cape Gate is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, quality nursing care in the Paediatrics department, working within the Scope of Practice.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.
Required profile
- Essential education: Enrolled Nurse Certificate (desired CPD courses for specialised wards).
- Essential experience: None (desired 1 year post‑qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit).
Required skills
- Basic life support trained.
- Infection prevention and control.
- Pharmacology knowledge.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
- Patient assessment and nursing care plan skills.
