Enrolled Nurse – Full‑time Locum Position

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our healthcare team on a locum basis in Johannesburg. The role involves delivering quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to South African Nursing Council regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and promptly report any changes.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Administer prescribed medication within the scope of practice.
• Support patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Promote infection prevention and control measures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide emotional support and health education to patients and families.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse with current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Willingness to work weekends, day and night shifts, including public holidays.
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinic or similar healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Strong clinical observation skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
