About the role

Mediclinic is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join its Emergency Centre team. The role focuses on delivering safe, high‑quality nursing care in line with the professional scope of practice, while supporting a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Create a conducive environment that facilitates a positive patient experience.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Contribute to a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure all stock and equipment used are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential).
• No prior experience required; 1 year post‑qualification experience preferred for specialised units.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support training.
• Infection prevention and control knowledge.
• Pharmacology understanding.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Nursing processes and procedures.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with relevant nursing legislation.
• Nursing care plan development.
• Risk identification abilities.
