About the role
The Enrolled Nurse – Cathlab provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation procedures at Netcare St Augustine's Hospital. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will ensure high‑quality patient care throughout the cathlab journey.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients before, during and after cathlab procedures.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing programmes in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
- Monitor vital signs, manage IV therapy, and operate cathlab equipment safely.
- Document patient observations and interventions accurately.
Required profile
- Registered Enrolled Nurse qualification.
- Experience in a cardiac catheterisation laboratory or similar acute care setting.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Accountable for personal actions and omissions.
Required skills
- Cathlab equipment operation.
- Patient assessment and monitoring.
