Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary (MW1)

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients at Netcare Kingsway Hospital. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will ensure safe, compassionate care while managing ward equipment and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in line with the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice.
• Monitor and record vital signs and other clinical observations.
• Maintain a clean, therapeutic environment and adhere to waste‑management protocols.
• Control, clean, and store medical equipment; report any faults.
• Document patient information accurately and protect confidentiality.
• Support infection‑prevention measures and standard precautions.
• Assist with stock control and ensure economical use of supplies.
• Participate in handovers and communicate effectively with the nursing team.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse (or equivalent) willing to work under RN supervision.
• Commitment to patient safety, hygiene standards, and confidentiality.
• Ability to follow hospital policies, risk‑management procedures, and reporting guidelines.
• Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to support ward operations.
