Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary – Full-Time (X12)

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary (X12) will work at Life Healthcare's Waverley Care Centre in Germiston, reporting to the Unit Manager. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality intermediate care while complying with health and nursing legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health, safety and infection‑prevention standards in the care environment.
• Provide quality patient care and client services within the Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary scope of practice.
• Conduct basic nursing duties, participate in patient activities and communicate effectively with patients and relatives.
• Observe patients to determine special needs and report any abnormal changes to the ward‑in‑charge.
• Assist in creating a safe environment for patient care and support rehabilitation programmes.
• Attend in‑service training, engage in ongoing education and contribute to health education campaigns.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with English as a subject.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in a hospital or care‑centre setting.
• Enthusiasm for caring for users with disabilities and ability to work shifts as required.
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer‑orientation and teamwork skills.
