Engineering Storeman

About the role

The Engineering Storeman will manage the engineering stores to ensure optimal efficiency and support maintenance KPIs. You will be responsible for accurate receipt, issue, and record‑keeping of spares, chemicals, and consumables in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and issue store items promptly, maintaining accurate SAP entries.
• Generate daily/weekly withdrawal reports for engineering.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and quarterly full stock counts.
• Report out‑of‑stock items and identify slow‑moving inventory.
• Maintain correct bin locations, documentation, and housekeeping standards.
• Handle GRA’s for returns, repairs, and recoverable items.
• Resolve purchasing and accounting queries and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with OHS, HACCP/ISO 9000, and company procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP and an engineering or processing background is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality systems (HACCP, ISO 9000) and FIFO stock management.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, standby and call‑outs.
