Electrical Stores Supervisor

About the role

The Electrical Stores Supervisor will oversee the MV/LV division’s inventory operations, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of electrical components and equipment. Reporting to the Financial Manager, the role is critical for maintaining stock integrity and supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials, reconcile with purchase orders, and document any damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain and update inventory records using the Syspro system, including component lists and job‑specific stock allocation.
• Issue project stock to job sites, coordinate inter‑company deliveries, and manage surplus inventory.
• Control store security, monitor for theft, and enforce store procedures.
• Handle hazardous material storage and transportation in compliance with safety regulations.
• Return defective items to suppliers and manage documentation of returns.
• Oversee store staff, enforce disciplinary actions when necessary, and ensure tools and equipment are clean, calibrated, and properly stored.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory or stores management within the electrical or construction sector.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under tight project timelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Syspro inventory management system.
