Electrical Service Technician – HVAC & Fire Systems

About the role

The company, a leading electrical services provider in Durban North, is looking for a qualified Electrical Service Technician to join the team on a permanent basis starting July/August 2026. The role focuses on servicing HVAC, smoke extraction, and fire detection equipment for commercial and industrial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute service and maintenance tasks for HVAC and fire detection systems.
• Define required resources, allocate staff and manage service costs.
• Lead quality‑assurance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and generate service reports.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a strong electrical background.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a service technician in electrical, HVAC or fire‑detection systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and produce sketches for equipment installation.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.
