Education Assessment Fieldworker (2‑month contract)

About the role

Epicentre is seeking experienced fieldworkers to support a two‑month education assessment study across KwaZulu‑Natal, Limpopo and the Eastern Cape. The role involves collecting data in schools and community settings to evaluate early childhood development and education outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site data collection using standardized assessment tools.
• Engage with teachers, ECD practitioners and community members to gather qualitative and quantitative information.
• Ensure accurate recording and secure handling of all collected data.
• Travel to assigned locations within the three provinces and adhere to the study schedule.

Required profile

• Previous fieldwork experience in education, early childhood development, or related research.
• Background as a teacher, teaching assistant, ECD practitioner, education assessor, trainer, facilitator, or data collector.
• Ability to work independently in remote settings and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with education or early childhood assessment tools such as ELOM or QASS.
