Digital Designer

About the role

Mukuru is seeking a creative Digital Designer to bring big ideas to life across print, digital, and motion platforms. Based in Cape Town, you will work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure every visual asset aligns with the brand while pushing creative boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑quality graphics, animations, and videos for print, web, social media and other channels.
• Apply typography, layout and brand styling to produce instantly recognisable assets.
• Collaborate with marketing teams, suppliers and agencies to execute resonant ideas.
• Own projects from concept through final delivery, incorporating feedback and meeting deadlines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with design trends, tools and emerging technologies, including AI‑enhanced workflows.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in design, video editing, animation or visual arts.
• 6+ years of professional design experience.
• Strong portfolio and showreel demonstrating static, animated and video work.
• Detail‑oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of HTML5 animations.
• 3D design skills using tools such as Blender.
