Draughtsman – Structural Steel Design

About the role
We are a well‑established structural steel design and manufacturing company in Cape Town looking for an innovative draughtsman to join our team. The role involves producing accurate 2‑D drawings that support the fabrication and installation of steel structures, working closely with engineers, architects and project managers.
Key responsibilities
- Create and release manufacturing drawings for steel components.
- Prepare detailed assembly and part drawings.
- Execute project tasks from concept through to completion.
- Produce technical 2‑D drawings according to project specifications for manufacturing and installation.
- Liaise with engineers, architects and project managers to ensure design integrity.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Tertiary qualification or certification in Computer‑Aided Draughting.
- Proven experience using AutoCAD; experience with Tekla Structures is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for structural steel.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to commute to our Klamputs premises.
