About the role
The Documentation Quality Assurance Assistant will support Gulf Associates’ internal advisory review cycle by ensuring that all briefings and market entry summaries are factually accurate and logically sound. This part‑time, remote position is based in South Africa and works with documents that have been partially generated by automated drafting tools.
Key responsibilities
- Review advisory briefings and market entry summaries for factual consistency and logical coherence.
- Verify that all claims are backed by source material and regional commercial data.
- Identify unclear statements or gaps in evidence and flag them for senior reviewers.
- Document recurring drafting issues to help improve the automated pipeline.
- Use tracked changes in a shared workspace to suggest edits and maintain version control.
- Escalate cases where commercial logic or source material is ambiguous.
Required profile
- University degree or equivalent experience in a detail‑oriented field such as law, journalism, or business research.
- 2–3 years of experience in proofreading, editorial QA, business writing, or research documentation.
- Strong logical reasoning and ability to spot inconsistencies in complex commercial arguments.
- Based in South Africa and comfortable working remotely within a distributed team.
- Excellent written English with consistent style and terminology.
Required skills
- Proficiency with document editing tools that support tracked changes (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
