Divisional Manager – Sales Driven (General Manager & Exco)

About the role

The Wholesale Division of a multinational group is looking for a senior leader to head its niche wholesale business. Reporting to the corporate head office, the Divisional Manager will oversee a small but growing team and be responsible for sales, service and operational performance across South Africa and neighbouring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, strategic direction and governance for the division.
• Manage, mentor and guide a team of sales representatives, internal sales staff, coordinators and administrators.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, dealers and affiliates in Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across South Africa and the regional affiliates.
• Collaborate with business partners and sub‑contractors to deliver cost‑effective, service‑oriented solutions.
• Create and monitor business plans, budgets, investment plans and performance targets.
• Optimise stock levels, improve stock turn, reduce surplus inventory and manage ageing stock.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, product mix and profitability reporting to the South African head office and international executives.
