District Sales Executive - Durban

About the role

We are looking for a high‑performing District Sales Executive to drive new business for a leading international logistics and supply‑chain organisation in Durban. The role focuses on hunting new accounts, building strategic relationships and delivering tailored freight forwarding solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow new business within the assigned Durban territory.
• Prospect, qualify and secure customers across multiple industries.
• Present value‑added logistics and supply‑chain solutions and prepare professional proposals.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, maintaining an accurate pipeline in a CRM system.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.
• Conduct regular client visits, business reviews and support account transition.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
• Assist with customer credit set‑up and accounts receivable support when required.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify new market opportunities.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of external sales experience in freight forwarding, clearing & forwarding or international logistics.
• Proven track record of winning new business and meeting sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of air, sea and road freight solutions.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a target‑driven environment.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
