Distribution Centre Accountant (Clairwood)

About the role

The Distribution Centre Accountant will manage financial systems, procedures and controls for the Clairwood site, ensuring accurate reporting and safeguarding assets. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver timely financial information and support operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review the General Ledger, identify variances, raise journals and correct third‑party posting errors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly FLASH reports and Management Packs for internal and client review.
• Compile and review the Monthly Management Report, ensuring figures align with the GL and providing commentary to executives.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet and income‑statement reconciliations, including cost‑centre analysis and stock loss valuations.
• Prepare month‑end and international external packs, meeting service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, health‑and‑safety, employment equity and environmental policies.
• Support human‑resource functions by monitoring staffing levels and fostering a high‑performance team culture.

Required profile

• Experience in reviewing general ledger entries and preparing financial reports.
• Ability to conduct month‑end reconciliations and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of statutory and company compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
