Dispatch Manager – Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods

About the role

The Dispatch Manager will lead the end‑to‑end dispatch function for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) operation. You will be at the centre of warehouse, fleet and driver coordination, ensuring that customer deliveries meet strict deadlines in a high‑tempo environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch operations, aligning warehouse output with delivery schedules.
• Manage fleet movements, driver assignments, and route optimisation.
• Monitor and guarantee on‑time deliveries to customers, addressing any deviations promptly.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performance dispatch team.
• Collaborate with logistics, sales and inventory teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG dispatch, distribution or logistics management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams with confidence and accountability.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to work under pressure without compromising service levels.
• Ownership mindset – proactively identifies and resolves issues.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, operationally intense environment.
