Director, Specialist Sales – Send

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead the Specialist Sales – Send portfolio across African markets. You will shape and execute the market strategy for the Send product, driving brand leadership and revenue growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a market strategy aligned with Mastercard’s global Transfer Solutions vision.
• Lead business development initiatives, including new investments, strategic alliances, and bespoke solution design.
• Create region‑specific product and sales strategies to accelerate adoption of transfer solutions and value‑added services.
• Conduct opportunity assessments, provide design specifications for product enhancements, and manage the economics of the business for African countries.
• Build and nurture partner and alliance relationships while overseeing the day‑to‑day activities of the Platforms team.
• Coordinate with multiple technical and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience in business development, product management, and sales within the payments or financial services sector.
• Proven track record of managing large commercial relationships and negotiating complex agreements.
• Strong relationship‑management and influencing skills in multicultural environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results against sales targets.
