Director of Product Building

About the role

Camunda is creating a new sub‑division, Camunda Experience, that owns the entire experience layer on top of its orchestration platform. As Director of Product Building you will lead this fast‑moving, AI‑first product area, shaping strategy, organization and delivery of the first generation of products such as the revised Camunda Hub and the AI‑native builder experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a ~25‑person sub‑division organized into small pods (≈3 builders per pod) with three Pod Leads reporting to you.
• Define and execute the Builder operating model, ensuring rapid, day‑to‑day shipping cycles.
• Set product strategy and organizational design for the experience layer (Hub, Clients/SDKs, AI‑native builder, AI skills, orchestration web apps).
• Partner with Strategy Product Managers on long‑term direction and roadmap.
• Own AI‑first production line engineering across all pods to maintain high‑throughput, coherent delivery.
• Drive business outcomes for the entire experience layer, measuring impact and iterating quickly.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in product management, design and engineering, preferably in AI‑enabled or orchestration platforms.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing, cross‑functional product teams.
• Strong understanding of AI‑first product development and rapid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent collaboration skills with strategy, engineering and design stakeholders.
