Director of Operations

About the role

The security solutions group is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to lead its SIOT/Technology division in Sandton, Johannesburg. This senior role provides strategic operational leadership across control‑room, technical and support functions, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic operational leadership across control‑room, technical and operational support functions.
• Oversee incident response, escalation management and operational risk.
• Ensure compliance with PSIRA, company policies and operational governance standards.
• Manage operational budgets, gross‑profit margins and cost‑control initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop operational managers, supervisors and control‑room personnel.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee technical systems including CCTV, control‑room and communication platforms.
• Drive continuous operational improvement and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience within the security industry.
• Minimum 5 years in senior operational management.
• Proven experience managing technical and control‑room operations.
• Experience with incident management, operational risk and escalation processes.
• Diploma or degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Operations Management or a related field (advantageous).
• Valid PSIRA registration, preferably Grade A (advantageous).

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of R100 000 – R115 000 per month.
