Director, Customer Success Africa and East Arabia

About the role

The Director, Customer Success for Africa and East Arabia will lead Mastercard’s Services Customer Success team in the region, ensuring priority customers achieve their business objectives through effective use of Mastercard network products. Reporting to the EEMEA Vice President of Customer Success, the role drives strategic priorities, fosters strong customer partnerships and contributes to regional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a customer success strategy that delivers value and accelerates business growth across Africa and East Arabia.
• Partner with priority customers to understand their business, manage health and value realization during product launch and post‑sale phases.
• Identify optimization opportunities and articulate how Mastercard Services can meet strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Network Services, Account Management, Sales, Product, Technical Account Managers and delivery teams—to realize the full value proposition of Mastercard network products.
• Lead onboarding experiences, provide ongoing strategic support and nurture long‑term relationships that generate advocacy and expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in customer success, account management or related fields within the payments or technology sector.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic priorities for a multi‑country region.
• Strong business acumen with a focus on driving customer value and revenue growth.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse functional teams.
• Experience managing complex enterprise customers and large‑scale product implementations.
