Digital Marketing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Digital Marketing Assistant to support Samsonite Southern Africa’s brand portfolio. You will help create engaging content, grow our social media presence, and analyse campaign performance across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concise, eye‑catching copy and headlines for Samsonite, Tumi, American Tourister and other brands.
• Plan, schedule and post creative content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms.
• Monitor industry trends and adapt content to keep it fresh and relevant.
• Track and report key KPIs such as engagement rate, follower growth, open rates, CTR and conversions.
• Collaborate with eCommerce, outsourced agencies and internal teams on campaigns and website banners.
• Manage social media community by responding to comments and queries promptly.
• Assist with email marketing briefs, content sourcing and product image preparation.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English with strong copywriting abilities.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management skills.
• Team‑player who can collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media platforms: Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn.
• Experience using email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Stripo or Klaviyo (BigCommerce a plus).
• Competence with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop and InDesign (other Adobe tools a plus).
• Comfortable working with analytics tools to generate performance reports.
