About the role

The Digital Content Creator will expand WWF South Africa’s presence on emerging video platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Working closely with programme staff, partners and subject‑matter experts, you will turn compelling conservation stories into short‑form videos that engage a youth audience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source compelling environmental stories from across WWF South Africa.
• Build relationships with subject‑matter experts, staff and partners to gather authentic content.
• Script, film and edit short‑form videos for TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.
• Coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of content.
• Appear on‑camera alongside technical experts and WWF spokespeople.
• Support programme staff and partners in becoming effective creators on video platforms.

Required profile

• Passion for nature conservation and a strong commitment to WWF’s mission.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced NGO environment.
• Experience in science or environmental communication is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Scriptwriting for short‑form video.
• Filming using DSLR or mobile video equipment.
• Video editing using industry‑standard software.
