DevSecOps Manager – Cloud Security & Automation

About the role

Reverside is seeking a senior DevSecOps Manager to lead the design, automation, and security of cloud‑native infrastructure across AWS and other platforms. You will head a multidisciplinary team, embed security‑by‑design principles, and ensure compliant delivery in regulated environments such as POPIA and GDPR.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Build and maintain containerised environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate deployments, improve reliability and support incident response.
• Integrate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage AWS security services including GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, IAM and KMS.
• Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing and zero‑trust architecture.
• Implement observability with CloudWatch, SIEM and alerting tools to enhance uptime and incident response.
• Define and track KPIs such as MTTR, deployment frequency and vulnerability remediation.
• Ensure POPIA/GDPR compliance and audit readiness.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud or Cybersecurity.
• 3‑5+ years in a leadership role managing DevOps/SRE/Security teams.
• Strong production experience on AWS in regulated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and drive metrics‑focused improvements.
