DevOps & Platform Engineer

About the role

We are building a small, focused innovation pod inside a fintech scale‑up. The pod turns high‑value ideas into production‑ready capabilities quickly and hands them over to the teams that run them. This role owns the pipelines, environments, deployment safety and observability that make fast, safe delivery possible.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployments.
• Own the Azure infrastructure layer – environments, configuration, secrets and networking.
• Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Azure managed services.
• Set up and maintain observability – logging, metrics, alerting – and use it to diagnose production issues.
• Execute database and schema migrations safely, with reliable rollback paths.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering function on the data platform.
• Document implementations so production teams can inherit them.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
• Hands‑on production experience owning CI/CD pipelines end‑to‑end.
• Comfortable working in a small team without a large platform function.
• Experience running database or schema migrations in production, including handling failures.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Docker and container orchestration.
• Azure cloud services and managed offerings.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Pulumi or Bicep.
• Observability tools for logging, metrics and alerting.
• Database migration tooling and rollback strategies.
• Familiarity with modern data tooling such as dbt or Snowflake (advantageous).
