DevOps Engineer – Modern Workplace

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to drive modern workplace transformation for a large enterprise in South Africa. The role blends DevOps, infrastructure engineering and digital workplace technologies, focusing on secure, automated, cloud‑based end‑user computing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM/MECM and Azure AD (Entra ID).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub, incorporating DevSecOps practices.
• Create automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell) to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Support cloud migration and workplace modernization initiatives across complex enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira) to deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure secure, stable and high‑performing digital workplace services for large‑scale organisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in end‑user computing, workplace engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience working in large, complex, international enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools such as Scrum and Jira.
