Development Manager

About the role

TIH is seeking a Development Manager to lead its IT systems development function. You will oversee the planning, prioritisation and delivery of application software projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and driving innovation across the technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain an application software roadmap that reflects business priorities.
• Lead a team of system developers, allocating resources and managing workloads efficiently.
• Analyse complex information sources to design innovative solutions.
• Engage with business and IT stakeholders, building strong relationships and addressing their concerns.
• Communicate strategy and motivate the team to achieve organisational goals.
• Develop tactical plans for resource optimisation and oversee performance management.
• Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Design reporting templates and lead the creation of complex analytical reports.
• Assess departmental capabilities, identify gaps and implement development frameworks.
• Plan and manage project delivery using appropriate project‑management methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing software development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior business partners.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into tactical plans.
• Experience in performance monitoring and reporting.
