Design Artworker

About the role

IMA is a creative agency seeking a passionate Design Artworker to join its production team. You will translate creative concepts into production‑ready artwork for a wide range of retail and shopper touchpoints, ensuring every asset is pixel‑perfect and print‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, refine and finalise artwork for print and digital channels, including POS, shelf‑talkers, packaging dielines, posters, banners and social assets.
• Create print‑ready files, manage bleeds, colour profiles, trapping and overprint settings, and liaise with printers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain organised, versioned project folders and handover packs for internal teams and external suppliers.
• Build and maintain production templates and master files to ensure consistency across global rollouts.
• Perform rigorous quality checks on layouts, typography, image resolution and colour, implementing feedback quickly.
• Collaborate with Designers, Account Managers and Producers to clarify briefs, estimate effort and meet tight deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance on format requirements, file optimisation and best practices for both digital and print production.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience as a design artworker, prepress technician or production artist, preferably in a creative agency, retail or shopper‑marketing environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering error‑free, production‑ready files.
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and maintain clear version control.
• Clear communicator who can translate technical requirements for non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Deep understanding of PDF/X standards, colour management and print workflows.
• Experience with packaging dielines, spot varnish and foiling processes.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for simple digital asset tweaks.
• Familiarity with content management systems.
