Deputy Nursing Services Manager – Hospital Group

About the role

The Deputy Nursing Services Manager will support the clinical nursing leadership of a hospital group in Kimberley. Reporting to the Nursing Services Manager, the role ensures safe, cost‑effective patient care while promoting health and wellbeing for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve 100 % incident and alert reporting in line with hospital policy.
• Investigate and document all incidents according to group procedures.
• Deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care aligned with the clinical governance strategy.
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees.
• Enforce infection prevention standards and international precautions.
• Implement group quality initiatives and conduct unit clinical audits.
• Identify non‑compliance areas and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, PGDip Health Services Management).
• 2–3 years of management experience in the private health sector.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Sound financial knowledge with ability to interpret financial data.
