Debtors Manager

About the role

The organisation is seeking an experienced Debtors Manager to lead its accounts receivable and credit control function. This senior role focuses on maintaining healthy cash flow, overseeing collections, and managing credit risk across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full debtor function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding accounts.
• Manage credit applications, set and review credit limits, and monitor debtor ageing.
• Produce regular collection, cash‑flow and credit‑risk reports for senior management.
• Develop, enforce and continuously improve credit policies in line with regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and motivate a team to achieve collection targets and operational objectives.
• Resolve customer account queries and mitigate credit risk proactively.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in debtors, accounts receivable or credit control.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Degree in Finance or a related field.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Sage accounting system.
• Advanced Excel for reporting and analysis.
