Debtors Manager – Africa

About the role

Cartrack is seeking an experienced Debtors Manager to lead its Accounts Receivable and Collections function across multiple African regions. This senior position will drive cash flow, manage a large debtor book, and build strong customer relationships throughout the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Debtors and Accounts Receivable function across South Africa and other African markets.
• Manage a large debtor portfolio, driving collections and improving cash flow.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing Credit Control and Collections team.
• Oversee cross‑border collections and maintain relationships with customers in multiple countries.
• Analyse ageing reports, reduce overdue accounts and enhance collection performance.
• Resolve escalated queries and complex customer disputes.
• Prepare management reports with insights on collections performance.
• Travel to African operations 4–6 times per year.

Required profile

• Relevant finance, accounting or credit management qualification.
• 5+ years managing a large Debtors/Accounts Receivable function.
• Proven leadership of Credit Control or Collections teams.
• Strong experience in cross‑border collections across African countries.
• Track record of managing high‑value debtor books and driving cash collections.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP) experience.
