Debtors & Creditors Clerk – Finance Team

About the role

Join a dynamic finance team in Fourways, Johannesburg as a Debtors & Creditors Clerk. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing both accounts receivable and payable, and supporting the overall efficiency of the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue customer invoices, allocate payments and monitor overdue accounts.
• Prepare debtor age analysis reports and assist with monthly debtor reporting.
• Process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders, schedule and execute payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain up‑to‑date supplier records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and capture transactions using Xero or similar software.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare management reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum; accounting or finance certificate/diploma advantageous.
• 2–3 years of experience in a combined debtors and creditors role.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional, honest and able to handle confidential information.
