Dealer Principal – Flagship Dealership (Polokwane)

About the role

The Recruiters Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Dealer Principal to lead a flagship multi‑franchise automotive dealership in Polokwane. This senior position offers full P&L responsibility and the opportunity to shape market dominance through strategic retail initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute aggressive retail strategies to exceed monthly sales targets and increase market share.
• Manage the complete P&L, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate operations across New & Pre‑Owned Sales, Workshop/After‑Sales, Parts, and Finance & Insurance departments.
• Mentor, coach and empower a diverse team of 50+ employees to deliver customer‑centric excellence.
• Maintain strong relationships with OEM manufacturers and group leadership, ensuring brand compliance.
• Drive operational efficiencies and innovation across all dealership functions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Dealer Principal or General Manager in a franchised OEM automotive dealership.
• Proven financial acumen with deep understanding of automotive retail metrics, gross profit sheets and fixed‑operations throughput.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Business Management, Finance or Marketing preferred.
• Ability to perform under intense pressure and fast‑paced market conditions.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence and a clean criminal record.
