Data Engineer Level 2

About the role

Derivco is seeking a Data Engineer Level 2 to join its Advanced Data Products team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models that enable analytics, reporting, and data‑driven innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, dbt, and AWS services.
• Build and enhance Snowflake data models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Integrate new data sources to support BI, analytics, and advanced data initiatives.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and observability solutions.
• Optimise query performance, storage strategies, and overall platform efficiency.
• Deploy, support, and continuously improve production data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to platform automation, engineering best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues to ensure reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical field.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
