Data Engineer – Global Datalake & Pipelines

About the role

Klipboard is seeking a Data Engineer to join its newly created Group Technology function. Reporting to the Chief Information & Data Officer, you will lead the design and delivery of a global Datalake and build data pipelines that power commercial data products for customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and evolve the strategic data architecture across the organisation.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and loading.
• Develop data integration workflows with Python, Scala and Java/React.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and analysts to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through testing and validation.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise reliability.

Required profile

• Strong commercial data mindset with experience delivering data products that drive revenue growth.
• Ability to manage demand, set priorities and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, and willingness to adapt to change.
