Data Analyst & Route Planner

About the role

Compass Medical Waste Services is looking for a motivated Data Analyst and Route Planner to join its operations team. The role blends data‑driven analysis with daily transport planning to improve the efficiency of medical waste collection.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and analyse operational data to generate actionable insights for management.
• Transform raw data into reports that highlight trends, anomalies and performance indicators.
• Plan, schedule and optimise daily transport routes using mapping and routing software.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers according to demand, ensuring cost‑effective and timely service.
• Monitor route performance, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Liaise with drivers, supervisors and customers to resolve routing issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in administration, data analysis or route planning.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mapping software and geographic information systems (GIS).
• Experience using route‑planning and tracking applications.
