CyberSecurity Specialist – Vulnerability Management & Risk

About the role

The client, a leading multi‑listed organization in Johannesburg North, is seeking an Information CyberSecurity Specialist. The role focuses on vulnerability management, building architectural frameworks, and conducting comprehensive risk assessments to strengthen the organisation's security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vulnerability identification, analysis, and remediation across the environment.
• Design and implement security architectural frameworks aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct end‑to‑end risk assessments, from scoping to reporting.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and web security teams to ensure integrated protection.
• Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001, NIST, and other standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, or Information Systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience specialising in vulnerability management and cybersecurity.
• Background in network, infrastructure, or web security (advantageous).
• Proven ability to develop risk assessments from scratch.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks (nice to have).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CISO are advantageous.
