Cybersecurity Analyst Learnership (NQF Level 5)

About the role

We are looking for motivated individuals to join a 12‑month Cybersecurity Analyst learnership (NQF Level 5) in Midrand. The programme provides a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, network security, threat detection, risk management and information systems, preparing learners to identify, analyse and respond to cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured training modules covering core cybersecurity concepts.
• Assist senior analysts in monitoring network traffic and detecting potential security incidents.
• Support the documentation of security findings and remediation actions.
• Engage in hands‑on labs to practice vulnerability assessment and incident response.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors to develop practical problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• Matric certificate with Mathematics and English.
• South African citizen, aged 18‑35 on 1 August 2026.
• Unemployed and not currently enrolled in another learnership or internship.
• Residency in or around Gauteng (Midrand area).
• Clean criminal record.

• Basic computer usage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in staying up‑to‑date with emerging cyber threats.
