Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to support a UK‑based employer remotely from South Africa. You will help protect systems, networks and data by monitoring security events, responding to incidents and strengthening the overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support monitoring of security systems, alerts and incident response processes.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, assist with penetration testing and perform risk analysis.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, audits and compliance documentation.
• Use SIEM platforms, endpoint protection and threat intelligence tools.
• Support security awareness training and policy development.
• Identify opportunities to improve security posture and reduce risk exposure.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, IT security or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple security tasks.
• Proactive problem‑solver with high attention to detail.
• Independent worker with reliable laptop, stable internet and a quiet workspace.
• Experience with UK‑based clients is a plus.
